The beanie is knitted in the round with two colors to create the cool beans motifs shown here with a stranded method applied. The pattern is fully written and also offers a chart for the motif as well as a how to video link on floating the stitches in the back to make the back just a bit more neat.
There are two sizes to knit. The Small size is shown here, 20.5" (52 cm) in bottom circumference and 8.5" (21.5 cm) in height. The Large size measures 23.25" (59 cm) in circumference and 9.75" (24.5 cm) in height but you can easily make yours longer if you like.

Knit kits include
- Mercerized cotton in a sport weight yarn. 125 yards per skein and each kit includes 2/3 skeins, The first color C1-Main color 1 or 2 skeins as well as a single skein for either size to create the coffee beans. In the kits only the main color is mentioned as the bean motif is always created with the Chocolat/brown color.
- The printed pattern and emailed PDF file.
- All packaged in a convenient project bag.
Notions needed
- Two US size 3 (3.5 mm) needles. One 16" (41 cm) circular needle and a set of double pointed to create the decreasing crown.
- Stitch markers, 5 to mark bean repeats and 1 different one to mark beginning of rounds.
- Tapestry needle for finishing.
Gauge: 20 sts and 24 rows in 4" of stockinette stitch.
Techniques applied: Knitting, purling in the round, knitting through back loop, color changes, stranded knitting, decreasing, placing stitches on tapestry needle to cinch together, weaving in ends and blocking.
